Blue Mountains, New South Wales

The Blue Mountains National Park makes for an ideal day trip from Sydney.  It offers wonderful scenery, featuring cliffs, waterfalls, and plenty of bushwalking.  The mountain range gets its name from the blue haze caused by the ultra-fine oily mist given off by the eucalyptus.  We entered the park from the small, rustic town of Katoomba.

Can't argue with this sign at the Flapping Curtain Cafe in downtown Katoomba. I wonder what was for sale at this Katoomba house. Yet another sign for the clueless Chinese, Korean, or Japanese-speaking tourist. The Three Sisters rock formation.
