| Something that struck me as bizarre is the Taitung railway station in the center of town, which is now completely abandoned. In its place is a new station, but it is 5km away and requires a bus ride to get downtown. Why would they abandon this more convenient station in favor of one way out of town? This perplexing mystery to me was somewhat resolved after I found this website. | ||
